In order to sharpen our film and video skills, friends and staff from Fresh Concentrate took part in the AAfilmlab's 72 Hour Film Shootout. Basically three days to write, shoot and edit a 5 minute movie.
We got the theme ("A first goodbye") on Friday at 8pm, wrote the script in 2 hours, then started shooting at 10pm. We shot all day Saturday in and around the FC office in Turtle Bay, Ramon spent Sunday doing household chores and watching the kids (No choice when you're a family man), then edited it all night Sunday and FEDEXed it off on Monday.
The whole shootout was done guerilla style with a regular consumer camcorder, a microphone taped to a broomstick, an old pillow, a volleyball and lots of pizza and Chinese food.
Winners of the competition still need to be announced but you can watch our movie, Charlie's Angel or watch all the competition films at the 72 hour shootout website.
Big thanks to Menelik Arias, Stephen Chen, Lucas Chu, Michelle Chu, Nihara Gonsalvez, Peggy Hsu, Nayoung Kim, Chris Loh, Bert Reynolds, Victoria Villajuan-Gil and Ning Zhang!
